On The Fringe

I am, rather surprisingly, taken by the numerous appearances of fringing in the S/S collections. Suprising, because I always thought fringing was a rather unpractical trend with potentially hazardous consequences. (Yes, even I do concern myself with such mundane things as practicality in clothing - sometimes, anyway.) Imagine wearing this beautifully simple dress by Jil Sander on a warm summer evening, a light breeze playing with the delicate, cobweb-like strands of fringing. Magical...

Or how about this piece of understated sophistication? All a lady of grace and manners needs, really.

Just keep an eye on where your fringing is swinging or you might end up with half your dress stuck in the car door or worse...
